copying files

Highlight the files to be copied (left folder). To select more than one file at a time, hold down shift while clicking on additional files

Click (hold down mouse) on one of the files in the group and drag to the to-be-printed folder.

Note: I've renamed all of the files in the original folder so each file reflects the folder that it belongs to. Many print services print the file name on the back of the photo as a very handy reference.
Batch File Renaming is available in numerous programs.

thumb drives

USB Thumb Drives are very convenient to transfer data from one computer to another. Once connected to your computer (it plugs in to the USB port) the computer recognizes it as another hard drive that you can write-to or read-from.

When the data is transferred, the thumb drive can be erased and used again.

Thumb drives are available in a number of different memory sizes.

pumpkin picks cropped

In this pair of picts, I've cropped the original photo (top) to highlight the size of the pumpkins contrasted by the size of the little girl. The square crop also highlights the shape of the pumpkins. If I saved-to the same file name and location, the cropped photo would erase and replace the original.

Whenever you alter a photo file, use 'SaveAs' to save the file under another name. I prefer adding a letter to indicate a variation of the original.
Example 1: the first variation of <003-3> would SaveAs <003-3a>

By saving as 2 different file names, if you decide to change the crop later, you can open the original and create another variation (saved as 003-3b).
