Digital techniques available today allow many old photographs that have been damaged
by use or enviornment to be copied, repaired and enhanced and then reprinted - at a quality level better than the damaged print, and often, even a quality level close to the photographer's original print.
Mr. Dening has applied his skills to historic photos and documents in Western New York for the Patterson Library, The Chautauqua County Historical Society, the Hanover History Center, the Sinclairville Free Library, University of North Carolina - Wilmington, and many other private individuals.
The soon to be released Bicentenial History of Chautauqua County by Dr.Douglas Houck is illustrated by original photography and enhanced historic photos by Mr. Dening.
Examples of Mr.Dening's reproductions of restored historic photos are on display at the Patterson Library Collection, the Sinclairville Free Library and McClurg Museum in Westfield, New York.
